Great opportunity: we are hiring a garment machinist in Weakley County, Tennessee. You will be based on a ready-made garment production line. You will topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
