Join our team: pipe tig welder (New York)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Allegany County, New York. Day to day you will back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Part-time with flexible hours.
