Trowel-trade bricklayer • Hoonah-Angoon Census Area, Alaska

Great opportunity: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Hoonah-Angoon Census Area, Alaska. The role involves: • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder Ideal candidate: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools 4+ years on the tools preferred.
