Bakery assistant • Pike County, Indiana

Great opportunity: we are hiring a bakery assistant in Pike County, Indiana. You will be based at a neighbourhood confectionery. The role involves prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity; monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch; rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials; shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand; weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe; pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls. You should have: • Basic cake decorating and piping skills • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks 6+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay.
