Urgent requirement: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Hyde County, North Carolina. The job is at a garment factory. The role involves use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; give each garment a final press before packing. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
