Vacancy available: we are hiring a press shop operator in Santa Barbara County, California. Day to day you will fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting; check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges; feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts; operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses; carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor. Requirements: • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses • 1-2 years' experience on power or hydraulic presses $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
