Lawn care technician — Jefferson Parish

We are recruiting: we are hiring a lawn care technician in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. You will be based in a botanical garden. Day to day you will operate strimmers, leaf blowers and brush cutters; weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe; maintain compost heaps and the potting shed; plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings; rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste; cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs. Requirements: • Happy to work outdoors in all weather • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance 5+ years on the tools preferred.
