We are recruiting: we are hiring a CO2 welder in Richland County, South Carolina. The job is on a structural steel site. Ideal candidate: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently On the job you will handle: • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead Rotating shifts. $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
