Requirements: • Able to follow the mason's and supervisor's instructions • Physically fit and comfortable working at height • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio Day to day you will pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator; hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors; mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days; fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns.
