Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Nottinghamshire, England. You will be based on a busy residential building site. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements The role involves place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust.
