Great opportunity: we are hiring a hoist operator in City of Staunton, Virginia. The job is at a container port and shipping yard. On the job you will handle: • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground You should have: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • A good head for heights for tower crane work Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
