Great opportunity: we are hiring a counter butcher in Kano Municipal, Kano State. The job is in a hotel or restaurant butchery. The role involves monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings. Requirements: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
