Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Riley County, Kansas. On the job you will handle: • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area What we are looking for: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Part-time with flexible hours.
