Now hiring: we are hiring a rebar installer in Jessamine County, Kentucky. You will be based on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Your main tasks: • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing 6+ years on the tools preferred.
