Now hiring: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Lamar County, Texas. You should have: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • ITI in welder trade or equivalent On the job you will handle: • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
