Trowel-trade bricklayer — Ovia South-West

We are recruiting: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Ovia South-West, Edo. The job is at a renovation and extension job. Day-to-day duties: • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays Requirements: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
