Vacancy available: we are hiring a halal butcher in Cumberland County, Virginia. Day-to-day duties: • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights You should have: • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths Performance bonus on top of base pay.
