Now hiring: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Polk County, Florida. The role involves load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness. What we are looking for: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Willing to work shifts and overtime Performance bonus on top of base pay.
