We are recruiting: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Hubbard County, Minnesota. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Your main tasks: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Overtime paid at a premium rate.
