TIG welder • Montgomery County, Mississippi

Great opportunity: we are hiring a TIG welder in Montgomery County, Mississippi. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Your main tasks: • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool You should have: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
