Stainless steel welder • Jackson County, Oklahoma

Vacancy available: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Jackson County, Oklahoma. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Day-to-day duties: • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer Ideal candidate: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
