Foundry operative wanted in Bath and North East Somerset

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry operative in Bath and North East Somerset, England. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. On the job you will handle: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Basic grinding and fettling skills Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. We offer £3,150 per month plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
