Great opportunity: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Calhoun County, Iowa. The job is on a commercial construction site. You should have: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets The role involves pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser.
