Immediate opening: metal caster (Washington)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a metal caster in Island County, Washington. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts On the job you will handle: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale Pay around $4,200 per month, based on your experience.
