Trowel-trade bricklayer wanted in Chesterfield County

Join our team: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Chesterfield County, South Carolina. You will be based at a groundworks and structures site. What we are looking for: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks On the job you will handle: • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters $22 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
