Rebar installer • Emmet County, Iowa

Great opportunity: we are hiring a rebar installer in Emmet County, Iowa. The job is on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Day to day you will install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules. Requirements: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. $4,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
