The role involves read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size. You should have: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work 3+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $4,500 per month, based on your experience.
