Urgent requirement: we are hiring a brick mason in Dallas County, Missouri. The job is on a new-build development. What we are looking for: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding Day-to-day duties: • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Pay around $160 per day, based on your experience. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
