Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel fixer in Mason County, Michigan. You will work on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. You will cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length. What we are looking for: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level 4+ years on the tools preferred.
