Great opportunity: we are hiring a banksman in Davie County, North Carolina. You will work at a busy construction site. Day-to-day duties: • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position Ideal candidate: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
