Safety officer wanted in Isle of Wight

Great opportunity: we are hiring a safety officer in Isle of Wight, England. You will work at a busy construction site. Day-to-day duties: • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements Part-time with flexible hours.
