Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixer in Mercer County, Pennsylvania. The job is at a precast concrete yard. The role involves: • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder Requirements: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
