Join our team: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Tyrrell County, North Carolina. You will control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness. Ideal candidate: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety We offer $5,000 per month plus benefits.
