GTAW welder • Grimes County, Texas

Vacancy available: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Grimes County, Texas. You will work at a busy fabrication workshop. Day to day you will set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer. You should have: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
