Immediate opening: finishing presser (Illinois)

Join our team: we are hiring a finishing presser in Crawford County, Illinois. You will be based at a garment factory. Your main tasks: • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments Ideal candidate: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
