Metal caster — Columbia County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a metal caster in Columbia County, Georgia. What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Basic grinding and fettling skills The role involves: • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. $17 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
