Immediate opening: gtaw welder (South Carolina)

Join our team: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Dorchester County, South Carolina. Day-to-day duties: • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job Requirements: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Own basic hand tools and PPE At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
