Immediate opening: we are hiring a precision welder in Bent County, Colorado. You will work at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Day to day you will carry out 6G pipe welds where required; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges. Requirements: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
