Urgent requirement: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Garrett County, Maryland. Ideal candidate: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Day to day you will lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings.
