Panel technician • City of Hampton, Virginia

Vacancy available: we are hiring a panel technician in City of Hampton, Virginia. Day-to-day duties: • Mask off glass, rubbers and trim before painting • Mix and spread body filler, then block-sand to a smooth contour • Read insurance damage reports and assessor estimates • Straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains • Strip out lights, mouldings and trims before repair • Buff and polish the finished panel to remove imperfections You should have: • Confident reading insurance estimates and damage reports • Able to set up and use a frame/jig straightening bench • Own basic hand tools (hammers, dollies, files) Meals and transport allowance provided.
