The role involves: • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation Ideal candidate: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
