Sausage maker — Jessamine County

Join our team: we are hiring a sausage maker in Jessamine County, Kentucky. You will work in a supermarket meat department. Day to day you will stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $18 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
