Now hiring: we are hiring a PVC window assembler in Borough of Wigan, England. The job is on a window-and-door production line. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of common hardware systems such as espagnolette and friction hinges • Accurate measuring and squaring to within a couple of millimetres The role involves read the cutting list and optimisation sheet and label each profile; fit fly screens, sills and trickle vents; clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash; crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame; fit espagnolette locking gear, friction hinges, handles and keeps to the sash; check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Pay around £2,200 per month, based on your experience.
