Immediate opening: aluminium tig welder (California)

Now hiring: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Alameda County, California. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings The role involves: • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run 2+ years on the tools preferred. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
