Argon arc welder • Vigo County, Indiana

Now hiring: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Vigo County, Indiana. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Day-to-day duties: • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer You should have: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
