Now hiring: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Oneida County, Wisconsin. Day to day you will bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length. Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates 2+ years on the tools preferred.
