Join our team: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Breckinridge County, Kentucky. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces On the job you will handle: • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
