MIG/MAG welder — Webster Parish

Great opportunity: we are hiring a MIG/MAG welder in Webster Parish, Louisiana. You will be based in a heavy engineering unit. The role involves strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead. You should have: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. $4,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
