Canteen cook • Isle of Wight County, Virginia

Immediate opening: we are hiring a canteen cook in Isle of Wight County, Virginia. On a typical shift you will follow cleaning schedules and wash down work surfaces; cook dishes to order on the grill, fry and sauté stations; monitor food temperatures and run regular HACCP checks; follow standardised recipes and stick to portion sizes; knead dough and bake breads such as roti, naan and paratha; prepare the mise en place before each service. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' experience as a cook in a busy kitchen • Able to read and follow recipes and dockets • Able to stand for long shifts and work in heat $3,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
