Tig welder wanted in Washoe County

Now hiring: we are hiring a tig welder in Washoe County, Nevada. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day Day-to-day duties: • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
